12 Days of Christmas Competition

Terms & Conditions

1. The “12 Days of Christmas” Competition (“the Competition”) is a giveaway organised by Arena Racing Company at each Racecourse it owns and operates (each a “Promoter”). The Competition is open to UK and Irish residents only, who are aged 18 years and over.

2. Employees/personnel of Arena Racing Company and its companies are not eligible to enter the Competition.

3. The Competition will run from 13 December to 24 December (each a “Competition Day”).

4. To enter the Competition the entrants must click the link provided by each Racecourse at their website that will redirect them to a form, where they shall insert their name and email address (the “Entry”). Entries will close at 23:59 GMT on each Competition Day.

5. Only one Entry is permitted per person and per Racecourse and no more than four entries per household or per Racecourse. In the event of a household submitting more than four Entries per day or per Racecourse, ALL entries from that household will be void.  A winner (the “Winner”) will be selected by random from all valid Entries submitted on the website before the closing date and time. Each Competition Day, one Winner will be selected per Racecourse.

6. Incomplete entries will be void.

7. One prize (each a “Prize”) per Racecourse will be attributed to the relevant Winner selected each Competition Day on such Racecourse, to be disclosed on a daily basis. Winners will be notified by email to the email address provided when submitting their Entry on or before Wednesday 5 January 2024 and given details of how to claim their prize. If a Winner does not respond to the relevant Promoter within 24 hours of being notified, then the Winner’s Prize will be forfeited. The Winner whose Prize has been forfeited is not entitled to payment or compensation of any kind.

8. The Prizes are non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-endorsable and not redeemable for cash or other prizes. Arena Racing Company retains the right to substitute the Prize with another prize of similar value in the event the original Prize offered is not available.

9. Arena Racing Company shall not be responsible for lost or misdirected messages, unavailable network connections, failed incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, online failures, hardware, software or other communications failures or circumstances affecting receipt or entrants ability to participate in the Competition or if any racing or any other event applicable to the Competition is cancelled for any reason or any circumstances affecting a Winner’s ability to access or use their Prize or for any reasons of Force Majeure.

* "Event of Force Majeure" means:

a fire, flood, lightning, storm, earthquake or other similar geological or metrological event or condition or Act of God, national emergency, diseases, epidemic, pandemic, war, act of terrorism, riot or criminal act or damage, strike, lockout or other industrial action not involving ARC employees (to the extent such failure is beyond the reasonable control of ARC) or any other event beyond the control of ARC. The entrant acknowledges and agrees that any disruption caused by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) or similar diseases (such as the temporary or permanent closure of the venues) shall constitute an Event of Force Majeure.

10. The entrant consents to the use of their name for advertising or publicity purposes without additional compensation. The entrant’s personal information will be treated in accordance with the Privacy Policy accessible on https://www.southwell-racecourse.co.uk/. From time to time, Arena Racing Company may send the entrants’ details of its products, services (and those of selected marketing partners) and/or competitions. The entrant can unsubscribe from this information service at any time.

11. All components of the Prize must be taken together.

12. The prize winner and their Prize companion(s) must comply with the Terms and Conditions of Entry of the Racecourses involved in the provision of the prize. In particular, the Winner and their Prize companion(s) must comply with all health and safety guidelines and instructions and all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

13. By entering the Competition, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms and Conditions and by any other requirements set out in the information about the Competition.

14. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English Law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
