Friday 2nd April brings floodlit flat racing to Southwell, offering a chance to finish the week with live action on the track. As the afternoon light fades, the floodlights pick out the horses and jockeys as they battle for position and push towards the winning line. Enjoy horse racing in April with an evening at the races.
Flat racing is all about pace and positioning. Watch the horses parade before they head to the start, then follow the field as the race takes shape. From the opening strides to the final run for the line, there is plenty to keep your attention on the track.
April evenings give you a chance to spend more time outdoors, making Friday racing a good way to step into the weekend. Bring your racing companions, catch up between races and enjoy the course as the lights come on and the evening gets underway.
