Ladies Day at Southwell Racecourse is a highlight of the local calendar and is renowned as one of the most fashionable days of the season. Racegoers from across Nottinghamshire and beyond arrive in their finest outfits and statement accessories, creating a vibrant and stylish atmosphere – though dressing up is always optional.
And it’s not just about looking good, your outfit could win you some fantastic prizes. Open to all, the Style Awards offer a range of rewards, including a £500 top cash prize for the winner. Impress the judges, and you could be one of the day’s standout stars.
Entry to our fashion competition is simple. Head to the beautiful flower wall when you arrive and get your picture taken. That’s it.
We will show the shortlisted entries for consideration. We then invite finalists to join us for the final judging before we announce the 2027 winner.

Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
