Thursday 7th January brings afternoon flat racing to Southwell Racecourse. Settle in for an afternoon of racing and watch the horses build through the meeting, with plenty to follow from the parade ring to the finishing line. For anyone who enjoys horse racing in January, it is a straightforward way to spend a winter afternoon close to the action.
Afternoon racing gives you a chance to take your time and follow the meeting from start to finish. Head to the rail to watch the horses up close, take in the parade ring before they head onto the track and keep an eye on the finish as each race reaches its conclusion.
Southwell is a genuine, welcoming racecourse with a relaxed feel and a strong connection to the sport. Wrap up for the winter weather, bring friends or family and enjoy a day out in the countryside with live racing at the centre of it.
Save by booking your tickets in advance, or buy them at the gate on the day. You can also explore hospitality options available through Seat Unique and make an afternoon of your visit to Southwell.
Children 17 and under go free* to the races when accompanied by an adult (*exclusions may apply). Children do not require a ticket in advance and a free ticket will be issued on the day.
Concessions discounts are only available on the day.
All bookings directly through our website and over the phone with our customer service team do not incur a fulfilment fee – the price you see, is the price you pay!
