Southwell Racecourse Announces Partnership with Southwell City Football Club.
Southwell Racecourse is delighted to announce a new community partnership with Southwell City Football Club, starting with the racecourse becoming the club's official training kit sponsor.
The partnership also includes a kids' football pitch at the racecourse for Southwell City teams throughout the 2026/27 season, and a community race day later this year for players and families, including sponsorship of races on the day.
Kirsty Edwards, General Manager at Southwell Racecourse, said:
"I'm delighted to announce this partnership between the racecourse and SCFC. Encouraging more children to get involved in local sport is something we're passionate about, and it's a privilege to support an initiative that will make a real difference. I'm excited to continue strengthening our commitment to local sport and community engagement in the future."
John Cunningham, Chairman of Southwell City Football Club added:
"Southwell has always had strong sporting roots, and this partnership brings two organisations that mean a lot to this town together. Some of our teams will be playing at the racecourse this season, giving them access to a fantastic facility right on their doorstep. We're excited to see what it brings for both sides and the wider community."
Both organisations say the partnership marks the start of a longer-term commitment to grassroots sport in Southwell.
