New Summer Jumps Championship Set to Ignite the 2025 Season – Southwell Racecourse Joins the Line-Up
British summer jumps racing is stepping into the spotlight with the launch of the RCA Summer Jumps Championship, a brand-new points-based competition taking place between 24th May and 19th September 2025. The Championship includes all summer jumps fixtures across the country—including two key racedays at Southwell Racecourse on 3rd and 9th June.
Organised by the Racecourse Association (RCA), the initiative celebrates the quality and consistency of summer jumps racing and aims to build a recognisable narrative for the season. It features £30,000 in prize money split across four categories: champion jockey, owner, trainer, and small trainer (defined as having fewer than 30 winners in the traditional championship).
Southwell Racecourse will host two fixtures in the heart of the Championship calendar, on 3rd June and 9th June, giving local racing fans the chance to witness this new chapter in British summer jumps first-hand.
