Ladies Day FAQ’s

With Ladies Day just around the corner, we want to ensure you have all the information you need to have the best day possible! Therefore, we have put together a list of some of the questions we are asked most frequently and have answered them all in one place.

“Do you accept cash?”

There are no cash machines on site. All entrances, racecard kiosks, catering and bars accept debit or credit card payments only. The tote, along with bookmakers DO accept cash payment and some may also accept debit card payments (no credit cards)

“What time should I arrive?”

Gates open at 11:00AM, we recommend arriving as early as possible before the first race at 2:10PM (the first race time is subject to change, please double check from Friday PM), to soak up the atmosphere, grab a drink and get ready for a great day out!

“What time is Martin Kemp performing?”

Martin Kemp will be performing after the last race and the Style Awards have finished, approximately 6:00pm to 7:30pm.

“Can Children come racing?”

Children under 18 can enter free of charge, tickets are supplied on the day.

“How do I get to the racecourse?”

You can find full details of how to get to the racecourse by car, air, train and bus on our Get Here page. Alternatively, you can find the full address on our Contact Us page.

Please note on Ladies Day, there will be a one-way system in place, please follow the yellow signage and enter via Southwell, from 3.30pm this route will switch, so all traffic enters via the Occupation Lane off Fiskerton Train Station and exits site via Racecourse Road to Southwell.

“Is there a Taxi Rank at the Racecourse”?

There is not a taxi rank at the Racecourse, pre-booking is essential if you intend travelling by taxi.

“Can I bring alcohol into the Racecourse”?

No, licensing laws do not allow alcohol to enter or leave our site

"How do I enter the Style Awards?”

For those who'd like to enter this year's Style Competition, make sure you head to the flower wall when you arrive to have your picture taken. There will also be a spotter in the crowd looking out for any particularly stunning outfits as well. The shortlist will be shown on the big screen and invited into the Stage, for the final judging to take place and overall 2022 Style Competition winner will be announced on the stage after the last race.

The competition opens at 11am and closes at 3pm.

“What should I do before I arrive at the racecourse?”

Make sure (if you have an E-ticket) that you have screenshotted or saved the ticket to your camera roll prior to arriving at the racecourse. To ensure you get in as quickly as possible, make sure the brightness on your mobile device is set to ‘full’ to ensure your ticket can be easily scanned.

“What do I wear to Ladies Day?”

Dress to impress! This is the one day of the season where the fashion is as important as the racing! Stylish outfits and beautiful headwear will be in abundance.

“Can men come?”

We welcome everyone to our Ladies Day! Gentlemen are more than welcome.

“Where is best to stay overnight?”

There are numerous places nearby that we’d recommend. Visit our ‘Where To Stay’ page or visit the local tourism website for options and availability

“Will food and drink be available?”

There will be plenty of scrumptious food and drink available to purchase around the racecourse, as well as a variety of different drinks. Glasses of Pimm's, sparkling prosecco and of course glasses of smooth champagne will all be available on the day!
